Susan Champion is an attorney and Fellow at Stanford Law School’s Three Strikes Project. For the past six years, she has been working with the Project on sentencing reform issues and played an integral role in the development, drafting, planning and implementation of the Three Strikes Reform Act of 2012 (“Proposition 36”), as well as the implementation of Proposition 47. She provides direct legal services to those serving lengthy sentences for nonserious/nonviolent crimes, and works with stakeholders and policy makers to address the disparities in our criminal justice system.
