Work History: Prior to joining URVentures, the technology commercialization arm of the University of Rochester, Mr. Catlin provided legal and executive management guidance at Abbott Medical Optics (AMO), a subsidiary of Abbott Laboratories, for intellectual property, litigation and compliance matters.  During and prior to his time at AMO, he has worked in and with start-up companies in Northern and Southern California.  Before that, he was a patent attorney and litigator with Lyon & Lyon and Pennie & Edmonds.  He is also a former management consultant with Bain & Company.  He served in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard as an officer and Judge Advocate (JAG).
