Pamela Yanakopulos

Pamela is a Director in the Transaction Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Pamela advises large corporate U.S. domestic companies and international companies in the accounting for complex transactions and the implications of financial and accounting structuring. Her deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS financial reporting rules allows her to support clients through these challenging endeavors.

Pamela’s expertise and skills cover a broad spectrum of complex accounting issues for both U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Pamela spent over four years in the PwC National Office where she consulted with hundreds of clients on complex technical accounting issues. Some specific client experience includes:

Assistance with the resolution of complex technical issues related to:

*  consolidation (FIN 46),
*  equity method investments/joint ventures
*  business combinations (old and new rules),
*  leasing,
*  securitizations, and
*  revenue recognition.

Assistance with responses to SEC comment letters and discussions with SEC staff.

Pamela co-authored PwC’s “Analysis of FIN 46: A Guide Through the Maze.” In addition, Pamela has co-led many of PwC’s efforts regarding the new acquisition & merger guidance (FAS 141R), including thought leadership, issue identification and resolution.
