Norman M. Monhait is a member of the Wilmington, Delaware law firm of Rosenthal Monhait & Goddess, P.A. He has concentrated his practice on complex business entity litigation primarily in the Delaware Court of Chancery on behalf of stockholders and investors in entities other than corporations, often in class and derivative actions. Mr. Monhait's professional work includes membership on, and currently serving as Vice-Chair of,  the Council of the Corporation Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association which reviews and recommends legislative changes to the Delaware General Corporation Law, and on the Delaware Court of Chancery Rules Committee. Mr. Monhait has served as a guardian ad litem for children in dependency and neglect proceedings in Delaware Family Court, and has represented a number of clients in civil rights litigations. Mr. Monhait received his B.A. with highest honors from Lehigh University in 1970 and his J.D. cum laude in 1975 from Harvard Law School where he served as comments editor of the Harvard Civil Rights - Civil Liberties Law Review.  After graduation from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Max Rosenn of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  Before locating to Wilmington, Mr. Monhait was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
