Michele Wilham is an Assistant Director with the Office of Credit Ratings (OCR).  As an Assistant Director, Ms. Wilham plans and supervises annual, sweep, and targeted examinations of the nationally recognized statistical rating organizations (NRSROs).  Ms. Wilham collaborates with the Division of Enforcement on enforcement matters related to NRSROs.  She also participates in the supervisory colleges for globally active NRSROs to share relevant information with international regulators.  Prior to joining OCR, Ms. Wilham led and participated in examinations as Senior Counsel within the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations, Office of Market Oversight, involving self-regulatory organizations and NRSROs. 

Prior to joining the SEC, Ms. Wilham was in private practice for several years.  Ms. Wilham earned her J.D. from the American University, Washington College of Law, where she served as an editor for the ABA Administrative Law Review, and earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
