Laura Tuttle (Financial Economist, Office of Markets) received her Ph.D. in Finance from the Ohio State University in 2004.  Her research interest centers on market fragmentation and quality, and her work has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.  Dr. Tuttle participated in the “Flash Crash” investigation as a Visiting Scholar at the CFTC then later managed a group of sell-side quantitative analysts before joining the staff of the SEC in 2012.
