Kim (“Doc”) Dockstader is Lead Counsel for Employment, Pension & Benefits at LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and fuels companies with annual revenues of approximately $45 billion (based on 2012 revenues) and more than 13,000 employees worldwide, including at 58 manufacturing sites in 18 countries and on five continents. Prior to joining LyondellBasell in 2011, Mr. Dockstader held several senior level positions with the Legal Departments of other multinational companies, including Senior Director, HR Legal & Compliance Counsel at Numonyx B.V. (a former subsidiary of Intel Corporation), Senior Counsel at Intel Corporation, Senior Assistant General Counsel at Micron Technology, Inc., and Deputy General Counsel at Micron Electronics, Inc. Mr. Dockstader also was a partner in private practice with Stoel Rives LLP, representing employers in employment litigation and employment law counseling matters. Mr. Dockstader has published various articles and contributed to treatises on employment law topics, and also has been a frequent speaker and trainer on numerous employment law topics for executive and management personnel, human resources management associations, and legal, special interest, and industry groups.

Mr. Dockstader received his law degree in 1990 from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was Executive Editor on the Board of Editors for the Utah Law Review. He holds an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, and while in private practice was listed in Who’s Who Legal USA for Management Labour & Employment Attorneys, and in Chamber’s USA Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers.
