Katherine Martin is the Associate Director for Regulatory Policy in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  Ms. Martin joined the Commission in 2005 as a Senior Counsel in the Office of International Affairs and subsequently served as Counsel to the Director of the Office of Risk Assessment, Assistant Chief Counsel in the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, Senior Special Counsel in the Division of Trading and Markets, Office of Clearance and Settlement, and, most recently, Assistant Director in the Office of International Affairs.  Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Martin practiced securities and corporate law at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Hogan Lovells.  Ms. Martin received a B.A. in economics from Syracuse University and a J.D. from the Syracuse University College of Law.
