Jeffrey Van Hove

Jeffrey Van Hove is the Deputy Tax Legislative Counsel for Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Tax Policy at the Treasury Department.  He is responsible for administrative guidance concerning domestic tax issues, including guidance related to subchapter C and S corporations, partnerships, real estate investment trusts, regulated investment companies, financial institutions and financial products.

Prior to joining the Treasury Department, Mr. Van Hove had been a partner at Willkie Farr and Gallagher in New York and at Perkins Coie in Portland, Oregon. His private practice focused on federal income tax matters, including the tax treatment of partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and bankruptcy reorganizations. He received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and his B.A. from Yale University.
