Ford Phillips is a Managing Director in the Chicago office of KPMG Corporate Finance with a primary focus on corporate debt restructuring, distressed M&A and capital raising transactions. Ford has deep experience across all types of restructuring transactions, including debtor and creditor advisory, distressed M&A, §363 sales, pre-packaged Chapter 11 plans, out-of-court exchange offers, and capital raising mandates. 

Professional and Industry Experience

Ford has more than 20 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience.  Prior to joining KPMG, Ford served as a Managing Director in the Restructuring and Special Situations group at Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc.  Earlier, he was a founding member of Giuliani Capital Advisors, a national boutique investment bank (acquired by Macquarie in 2007), and was a Managing Director in the restructuring group of another Big Four accounting firm.
 
Ford has represented a wide range of constituencies in restructuring transactions, including debtors, secured lenders, ad hoc noteholder committees, and unsecured creditors committees.  Ford has also advised a range of middle-market companies on capital raising mandates and both distressed and non-distressed M&A transactions.

Over his career, Ford has represented clients across a broad range of industry sectors including manufacturing, metals and mining, power generation, automotive, consumer products, retail, and financial services.
