Practice Areas:

Concentrates primarily on cross-border transactions in Chile involving foreign investors and lenders, and projects in Latin America. Advises clients in international M&A, project finance and corporate finance transactions. In M&A, experience includes representing Citigroup and the Said Group in private equity investments, Hydro-Quebec in divestiture of interest in electricity transmission company Transelec, Nexans in acquisition of wire and cable business of Madeco, Walmart in tender offer over retail company D&S and subsequent industry related projects, LAN Airlines in the international merger with TAM and Corpbanca in the announced merger with Itau. Has led numerous project finance transactions for foreign lenders, such as the IDB and FSA, in toll-road and airport projects. Has also participated in successful debt offerings, syndicated loans and debt restructurings for local and foreign clients. Corporate finance work also includes representing Citibank, Credit Suisse and local corporations in OTC derivative transactions under local and ISDA documentation. Extensive capital markets exposure in Chile and USA, assisting clients like the shipping company CSAV and the brewery CCU in equity offerings. Profiled in Chambers & Partners and LatinLawyer.
