EDWARD S. RUSKY, Vice President & Underwriting Counsel, Fidelity National Title Group (Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation, Chicago Title Insurance Company, Ticor Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company)

Edward Rusky received his law degree from the Boalt School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley in 1971; he was admitted to the California and Federal Bars in 1972.

From 1973 to 1981, Mr. Rusky was lead in-house litigation counsel in Northern California for Title Insurance and Trust Company during which time he also handled claims and participated in underwriting and training. From 1981 to 1997, Mr. Rusky was Vice President and Regional Counsel for, respectively, Safeco, Ticor, and Chicago Title Insurance Companies, in charge of underwriting, claims, training, practices and procedures.

Since 1997 Mr. Rusky has specialized in underwriting and closing complex, high-liability, multi-site commercial transactions for national clients. He is presently Vice President, Underwriting Counsel for all title insurers within the Fidelity National Title Group.

Mr. Rusky is a long-time member of the Forms and Practices Committee of the California Land Title Association

Mr. Rusky was co-author and co-editor of California Title Insurance Practice, Second Edition, CEB, 1997 and co-author of California Easements and Boundaries, CEB, 2008.
