Ed Stelzer is Senior Vice President & Counsel and Head of Litigation at Zurich Financial Services, Centrally Managed Businesses.  In that role, he is responsible for a wide array of litigations and investigation issues around the globe, including federal securities and antitrust class actions, complex financial products litigations and international arbitrations.

Prior to Zurich, Ed was associated with the firms of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.  While in private practice, he represented public companies, boards of directors, senior executives, and creditors' committees in commercial transactions and disputes relating to mergers and acquisitions, securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits, internal corporate investigations, white-collar actions and other securities and finance-related litigation and regulatory matters. 
Mr. Stelzer broke free from the law for a stint when he was head of business development at a high-growth wireless technology company in Silicon Alley.

After graduating summa cum laude from Yeshiva University, Mr. Stelzer received his J.D. with honors from the New York University School of Law where he served as Notes & Comments Editor for the NYU Law Review. Ed also was a law clerk to Justice Stewart Pollock on the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Stelzer is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
