Christie L. Iannetta

Hogan Lovells US LLP

Washington, DC, USA

Christie Iannetta is a counsel in our Washington D.C. office, advising clients on motor vehicle safety and regulatory compliance matters.

Christie works closely with automotive manufacturers and equipment suppliers to understand their legal concerns and then draws on her experience to provide comprehensive and sound advice to address their questions in the areas of safety-related recalls, investigations, and enforcement proceedings.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Christie was a Senior Trial Attorney in the Litigation and Enforcement Division of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). At NHTSA, she regularly advised the agency on matters of legal authority and risk in a number of highly complex defect investigations, including serving as the lead attorney in one of the largest and most complex consumer recalls in U.S. history. Christie provided a full range of legal support to the agency in investigations of vehicle and equipment manufacturers involving safety-related defects, non-compliances with federal safety standards, and other violations of the Safety Act. Prior to her work at NHTSA, Christie worked at a major U.S. law firm where her practice focused on complex commercial litigation, including defense of legal malpractice claims and high-value insurance coverage disputes.

Christie is a Professional Lecturer in the Law at the George Washington University Law School where she teaches legal research and writing.
