Chris Gallea is a Vice Chairman at J.P. Morgan with senior responsibility for a number of leading companies around the world. He has executed 80+ advisory assignments on behalf of his clients across a variety of industries and markets including mergers and acquisitions, takeover defense, hostile transactions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and cross-border transactions. He also has had extensive experience advising a number of clients and boards in their dealings with shareholders. 

Mr. Gallea graduated from NYU and received an MBA from Columbia. He resides in New York City with his wife Suzanne and their three children.

  • United Technologies on its public defense, divestiture of Sikorsky and unsolicited acquisitions of both Goodrich and Chubb
  • Emerson Electric on multiple divestitures including Network Power, LSCT, InterMetro and EC&P as well as its unsolicited acquisition of Chloride plc, its acquisitions of Roxar, Avansys
  • Ingersoll Rand on the spin-off of Allegion, its unsolicited acquisition of Trane, acquisition of Cameron Compressor and divestiture of Hussmann
  • ITW on the divestitures of its Industrial Packaging Business and its Finishing Systems
  • Black & Decker on its merger with Stanley Works
  • Progressive Waste on its merger with Waste Connections
  • Danaher on its acquisitions of MDS/AB Sciex and Vision Systems
  • 3M on its acquisition of Cogent
  • Newell Rubbermaid on its acquisition of Dymo
  • Toshiba on its acquisition of Landis+Gyr
  • Precision Castparts on its unsolicited acquisition of Wyman Gordon
  • Goodman Global on its sale to Hellman & Friedman and subsequent sale to Daikin
