Ann E. Conaway is a Professor of Law at Widener University School of Law where she teaches courses on business organizations, contract drafting and negotiation in closely-held business entities, limited liability companies and statutory trusts, contracts and securities regulation. Prior to teaching, she was an associate in the Wilmington, Delaware firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. She also served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Henry R. Horsey, Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court. Professor Conaway graduated cum laude from Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia where she served on the Temple Law Review.Professor Conaway received her BA magna cum laude (with honor's from the Honor's Program) from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Professor Conaway is a member of the American Law Institute (ALI). She is a former Delaware Commissioner and is presently a Pennsylvania Commissioner to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL). As a commissioner,Professor Conaway has served on the Limited Liability Partnership Act, the Revised Limited Partnership Act, the Revised Limited Liability Company Act, the Statutory Trust Entity Act, the Business Organizations Act, and the revisions to Article 8 of the Uniform Commercial Code.Professor Conaway served as the National Conference Reporter of the Model Entity Transactions Act and is the President and former Secretary of the Joint Editorial Board for the Uniform Unincorporated Organizations Acts. Professor Conaway served as Master in Chancery pro hac vice (1990 - 1992) for the Court of Chancery for the State of Delaware in a case of first impression regarding corporation law.

Professor Conaway is active in the ABA Business Law Section Committee on Partnerships and Unincorporated Business Organizations as well as the Committee on Alternative Entity Legislation for the Delaware State Bar Association. She has acted as an expert on matters of corporate, partnership, contract and unincorporated law for large firms as well as the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice. Professor Conaway is a member of the Rodney Inn of Court in Wilmington, Delaware. Professor Conaway has written numerous articles and has spoken nationally and internationally in the areas of corporate, contract, securities and unincorporated law. She is the Director of the Annual Symposium on the Law of Delaware Business Entities held each year in Wilmington, Delaware. Professor Conaway is the Co-Author of KEATINGE AND CONAWAYON CHOICE OF BUSINESS ENTITY, (WEST 2D ED. 2007). Professor Conaway is a member of Who's Who Among America's Teacher's. She is also a member of Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women Honors Registry.
