Andrew Behrman’s practice focuses on international dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on international arbitration. Andrew has worked on a wide range of matters from day-to-day counseling on contracts, to the conduct of major international arbitrations. These matters have included claims before both U.S. courts and international tribunals, and have covered a broad spectrum of industries.

  • Representing a Brazilian agribusiness group in arbitration against a Spanish purchaser in relation to the sale of a sugar cane business (ICC, New York)*

  • Representing a Panamanian power plant operator in arbitration against contractor in relation to the design and construction of a power plant in Panama (ICC, Miami)*
  • Representing a European oil and gas production company in arbitration against a North African petroleum company in relation to the supply of LNG (ICC, Geneva)*
  • Representing a U.S. construction company in arbitration against owner and subcontractor in relation to the construction of a power plant (AAA, New York)*
  • Representing a Japanese energy company in arbitration against a Brazilian counterparty in relation to the sale of carbon credits (AAA, New York)*
  • Representing a European energy company in long-term LNG price reopener arbitration (UNCITRAL, New York)*  
  • Representing a Japanese trading company to obtain a pre-judgment attachment in aid of an arbitration in Singapore against an Indian company for breach of a sales agreement*
