Alex Cole focuses her real estate practice in the areas of real estate transactions and development , hospitality, international real estate, project finance and construction law. She is routinely involved in large real estate acquisitions (hotel, office and retail) and represents all the various parties in the construction and development process. Some of Alex's past projects include: Sale of the Bardessono Resort & Spa, Purchase and Sale of Dolce International Hotels, Park Hyatt Australia, purchase and disposition of The Carlyle in a transaction including the sale of Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and four other hotels, Fairmont Hotel and Canadian Pacific Hotel merger, numerous buildings in Illinois Center, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, The Harold Washington Library, California Plaza in Los Angeles, McCormick Place Expansion and Hotel, Underwater World at Pier 39, Warsaw Financial Center, and the construction and renovation of numerous plants, industrial complexes, hotels, shopping centers and other commercial projects in the United States and Europe. Her clients include REITS, family offices and private equity funds.

Counsel to Broad reach Capital Partners

Representation of Broadreach Capital Partners' sponsored funds and $700 million private REIT in acquisition  of various hospitality assets and restructure of CMBS facility for major resort holding.

Represented  Purchaser  of Gra11ite and Limestone  Quarries

Represented SPO Partners & Company in the $420 million purchase of 12 limestone and granite quarries primarily in Georgia and Tennessee.

Representation of Clll Capital Partners

Representation of Clll Capital Partners as special servicer in restructure and settlement of loans secured by multiple hotel properties.

Counsel to LifeStorage

Representation of LifeStorage since its inception in acquisition and financing of self-storage real estate portfolios across the United States.

HOTELS & LEISURE

Representation  of Hotel  Owners

Full service of representation of hotel owners in development and ownership of hotels including structuring, financing and negotiation of all project agreements including hotel management agreements.

Riverwalk  Casino & Hotel, Vicksburg, M S

Represented Rush Street Gaming, LLC in its negotiation of purchase and sale documentation for the disposition of the Riverwalk Casino & Hotel, Vicksburg , Mississippi.

Counsel to DiNapoli Capital  Partners

Representation of this real estate fund in the development of standard equity entity documents and the closing of acquisitions , financings and dispositions in its portfolio of hotels, office buildings and senior housing facilities.

Rosewood Hotel s & Resorts LLC

Representation of the owners in the sale of Dallas-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts LLC hotel management company and five North American properties under Rosewood management for $800 million to China-based New World Hospitality and individual investors. Properties sold in the transaction included the Carlyle Hotel in New York, NY, the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, NM, Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands, the Rosewood Crescent Hotel and the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek , both in Dallas, TX. The Perkins Coie team had acquired all of these assets from the various owners in transactions dating back to 1997 (transaction received the "M&A Deal of the Year Award" at the 2012 ALIS Conference).
