Alexander J. Martin is a Director in the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory (“CMAAS”) group within PwC’s Deals Practice.

Alexander specializes in complex and sophisticated financial structures employed in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions. He has over 9 years of accounting advisory experience in the deal space evaluating the accounting and financial reporting consequences of deals and transaction-driven events, and he helps clients balance their transaction objectives with the accounting, commercial, and regulatory considerations.

Along with his broader deal expertise, Alexander is one of CMAAS’ leading subject matter experts in lease accounting (both current and new GAAP) and is part of PwC’s national ASC 842 transition team, with experience in GAAP change projects and the challenges and complexities that come from implementing new accounting standards. Alexander also specializes in other complex topical areas, including consolidation, business combinations, revenue recognition, and financial instruments.

Alexander received his Masters in Accounting from the College of William and Mary and is a licensed CPA in the commonwealth of Virginia.
