Adam Meshel is a Managing Director and General Counsel of Global Banking and Capital Markets Origination at Citi's Institutional Clients Group. He and his team have primary responsibility for debt capital markets, equity capital markets, leveraged finance and the corporate and investment banks.  He is also counsel to and a member of Citi's Equity and Fixed Income Global Commitment Committees, the Investor Issues Committee and the Block Trade Committee. From 1998 until 2005, Adam focused his legal practice on capital markets and merger and acquisitions transactions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he also held the position of Head of Compliance for the Financing Group in 2005. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, Adam was a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, in New York City.  Adam is a member of the Capital Markets Committee of SIFMA and a member of the Securities Regulation Committee of the New York City Bar Association.  Adam holds AB and JD degrees from Columbia University.
