Kevin O'Keefe
As one of the first to embrace and execute legal blogging, LexBlog company founder Kevin O'Keefe is known as a pionnering "legal rebel remaking the profession," according to the ABAJournal.
Kevin is an authority on emerging social media issues and the strategic use of technology in law practice development. He adresses these topics in his frequent keynote presentations, including before the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA), and in his blog, Real Lawyers Have Blogs. His popular webinars and social media presence attract a following in the media and across the legal, professional services and tech sectors.
A graduate of University of Notre Dame and University of the Pacific-McGeorge School of Law, Kevin was a trial lawyer in Wisconsin for 17 years and remains a sustaining member of the the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Kevin's early use of technology and the Internet to successfully build his own practice garned national attention and prompted USA Today to comment, "If O'Keefe isn't careful, he may wind up giving lawyers a good name."
In 1998, Kevin founded and launched Prairielaw.com, an online law community for consumers and small-business owners. After selling the venture to LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell's lawyers.com, Kevin went on to serve as a vice president of business development for Martindale-Hubbell.
Kevin founded LexBlog in the Seattle area in 2003, leveraging the region's strength as a tech incubator and base for dynamic talent. His vision and leadership of the LexBlog team have transformed a personally funded startup into a 6,000-subscriber international network at the forefront of the legal blogosphere and effective practice development.
