Overview

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have approved adult-use cannabis, opening immense markets for business creation, investment and jobs in the Northeast in this dynamic young industry.  This program focuses on New York and will discuss New York’s Marijuana Regulation and Tax Act; the types of licenses to be awarded; the unique role that social equity plays under New York’s cannabis regime; dispute resolution; New York’s existing medical cannabis industry and the role it may play in adult use; and other nuances of New York’s proposed marketplace.  James Rieger and Paul D. Sarkozi, Partners at Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP and Co-Chairs of their cannabis industry practice, will lead an insightful discussion addressing the evolving New York cannabis industry, and will address the following topics:
