Overview

Why You Should Attend
It used to be that only “death and taxes” were inevitable, but for attorneys these days, add to that list, “Privacy.” This program will give general practitioners, litigators, corporate counsel, and transactional attorneys a solid grounding in how privacy rules intersect with other practice areas. We will also introduce the basics of security obligations for personal information and regulatory enforcement. At the conclusion of this fundamentals course, you will know where to start when your client asks that privacy law question, you will recognize when privacy impacts a transaction, and you will understand how “PII” definitions vary around the world.
