An introduction to Restrictive Covenants

This panel will discuss the fundamentals of restrictive covenants and the laws that govern them. After attending this session, attendees will be able to:

• Understand what noncompete agreements, nonsolicitation agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and the other types of restrictive covenants are, and what standards apply
• Learn what each agreement may and can protect, including trade secrets and customer goodwill, and what they may not or cannot protect
• Know how to review a restrictive covenant agreement to determine its likely enforceability
