Overview
The Briefing will focus on the proliferation of foreign direct investment (FDI) controls, which has been accelerated by concerns that companies weakened by the economic fallout from COVID-19 are at risk of foreign takeover. A team of partners from Dechert’s U.S. and European offices will:
- Explore the impact of the new EU FDI Regulation on foreign investment control in Europe
- Compare with that of the US (CFIUS)
- Discuss how the upswing in foreign investment control is affecting international dealmaking
