Overview

Why You Should Attend:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is ubiquitous in our daily lives in ways we don’t even realize. We encounter it when shopping online, using smartphones, accessing home assistants, and in many other ways. Along with distributed ledger technology, AI is driving Web3 – the Metaverse, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and business models like DAOs and DeFis.  AI can even create artwork from a description in natural language. AI is pervasive in every industry from manufacturing to health care to law. Along with the convenience and productivity AI brings, it also creates new legal and other issues that lawyers and allied profesionals need to be aware of and understand it.

Artificial Intelligence Law 2023 will explore the technology behind AI and the legal issues it presents. PLI’s panel of experts will examine the basics of AI law, legislation and public policy challenges, use of AI by governments, potential bias in the use of AI, as well as how the legal industry is leveraging AI. As a case study, they will explore the uncharted legal issues arising from the use of content-generating AI systems. Attendees will also receive up to one hour of ethics CLE credit.
