Overview
Arguably, in the last 10-12 years, Representations & Warranties Insurance (RWI) has moved from a “nice to have” in M&A transactions to a “must have.” While once upon a time, claims seemed rare, that is no longer the case. To be sure, these claims tell us a lot about the RWI market. But they also tell us a lot about the M&A market more generally. Similarly, the overall volume of RWI submissions and policy placements shed a light on the current M&A market.
