Overview
Since 2018, the EU has been leading the global charge to regulate AI systems. The EU AI Act, proposed in 2021 and possibly coming into effect late this year, offers a glimpse into the dynamic debate around how best to regulate technologies with varied risk profiles and application across diverse sectors and use cases. This session will provide an analysis of the EU's approach to technology regulation, how it compares to other global approaches, and key technology governance and compliance learnings that will help attendees begin to prepare for the future of AI regulation.
