Overview
Advances in science have led to increased scrutiny of, and enhanced detection in the environment of, PFAS for which environmental and public health standards are still being established. These scientific advances have also led to litigation over alleged contamination and increasing calls for legislative action to address PFAS.
Our speakers will discuss:
- What are PFAS and why do they pose environmental and health concerns (10 minutes)
- Federal and state regulatory initiatives and their implications for the public and regulated community (30 minutes)
- PFAS litigation developments (10 minutes)
- Legislative proposals and budgetary riders to address PFAS (10 minutes)
