During this entertaining and immersive “serious game” you will plan and conduct an internal investigation as a member of a fictional law firm and present your findings to management.
What You Will Learn
After going completing this program, participants will be able to:
- Determine the nature and scope of an investigation
- Examine issues related to document retention and confidentiality
- Craft an appropriate interview question
- Deliver an effective “Upjohn statement”
- Elicit cooperation and gather the most information possible from witnesses
- Confront an uncooperative or untruthful witness
- Deal with risks and ethical dilemmas that arise during an investigation
- Manage stakeholders appropriately, considering their loyalties and relationships
- Interview in-house counsel and other senior members of management
