Tara Auciello is a solo practitioner in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey along with several federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Before opening her solo practice in July 2003, Tara was an associate in the Commercial Litigation group at Bryan Cave LLP in Manhattan. Tara previously served as Municipal Prosecutor for the City of New Brunswick, the Township of Edison, and the Borough of South River, all in New Jersey.
A Past-President of both the Middlesex County (N.J.) Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Foundation, the former honored Tara as Municipal Court Practice Attorney of the Year in 2017. In 2015, said Bar Association honored Tara with the Robert J. Cirafesi Chancery Practice Award.
Tara is currently as a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Advisory Committee. She previously served a three-year term on said body’s General Council Executive Committee. Tara served as the chair of the Middlesex County Bar Association’s Municipal Court Practice Committee for a decade.
Tara formerly taught as an adjunct instructor in the Paralegal Studies program at Middlesex County College and currently serves on that institution's Paralegal Studies Advisory Board.
Tara graduated cum laude from Boston College Law School in 2001. She graduated cum laude with majors in Political Science and Religion from Duke University in 1998. Tara graduated from Rutgers Preparatory School in 1995 after having attended that school since 1982. She served as a Trustee for Rutgers Prep from 2008 to 2014.
Tara is a frequent New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education and Middlesex County Bar Association lecturer. Having studied abroad in both college and law school, Tara considers travel a necessity. She and her husband have been to all fifty states and Tara will soon be setting foot on her sixth continent. Her current favorite travel destination is Dublin, home of her three year-old godson.
