Lou Nostro is a partner of Nostro Jones, a South Florida estate planning law firm.  Mr. Nostro is board certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Taxation and in Wills, Trusts & Estates.  He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estates Council (ACTEC).  Mr. Nostro is a frequent speaker at estate planning seminars sponsored by the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the NYU Tax Institute, the Florida Tax Institute, the Oregon and Washington Tax Institutes and regional estate planning and planned giving councils. He has been named as one of the top 100 estate planning attorneys in the nation by Worth magazine, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and has been recognized by Florida Trend magazine, the South Florida Legal Guide and numerous other publications. Mr. Nostro is the Past Chair of the  Florida Tax Institute, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Florida College of Law.  He previously served as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of Plymouth Congregational Church.  Mr. Nostro was an adjunct professor at the University of Miami College of Law Graduate Estate Planning Program from 2003-2008.  He received three degrees from the University of Florida:  BSBA with honors (1978); JD with honors (1982) and LLM in Taxation (1987).
