Lock See Yu-Jahnes has more than twenty years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of fields, including automotive systems and components, image processing methods and devices, communication protocols, cameras and other consumer electronics, IC chips and fabrication processes and 3D printing. She also has experience with manufacturing equipment and processes, data storage devices, financial instruments and electronic trading platforms as well as social-media and other Web-based platforms.

Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Lock See was a Partner at Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto where, in addition to patent prosecution, she provided counseling on many aspects of IP protection, including:

  • assessments of a patent landscapes before development of new projects;
  • freedom-to-operate opinions and non-infringement opinions;
  • defensive strategies for minimizing risk (e.g., strategies to “design around” claims)
  • portfolio development and strategies for protecting inventions.

Before beginning her legal career, Lock See was involved in the research and development of processes for fabricating thin-film electronic devices, and has published several technical papers relating to various aspects of thin-film processing.
