Biography

Kirsten Schofield is a partner in PwC’s Private Company Services practice in the New York Region. She has over 25 years of experience with the firm and has been a partner for 14 years.

Throughout her career, Kirsten has worked extensively with non-public companies. Her clients include family-owned businesses, US subsidiaries of foreign companies, and portfolio companies of private equity firms. She is keenly aware of the unique needs and challenges facing private enterprises.

Kirsten has served a broad range of companies, from mid-sized to some of the Firm’s larger and more complex private companies, many of which have grown rapidly through acquisitions. Her clients are in a range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail and services. She has an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial style, and her experience includes advising clients on business, accounting and reporting issues, as well as internal controls. She has also interacted extensively with PwC’s global network, supporting PwC’s parent company engagement teams across the world.

Kirsten has also served as a partner in the firm’s National Professional Services Group, working on the Accounting Services team. In the National Office, her role on the Accounting Services team included following accounting and reporting developments impacting private companies, authoring the firm’s publication, Private Company Reporter, and consulting on income tax accounting matters.
