Since joining the Fleischman Law Firm in 2013, following her service as a prosecutor, Julia Sandler has represented clients in a variety of complex commercial matters, including business torts, contractual disputes and securities litigation. Among other things, Julia has vast experience in complex cutting edge “e-discovery” issues and management. Her current practice embraces a diverse portfolio of representations in complex litigation disputes, including private equity clients, high-net worth individual investors, financial services professionals, and retail companies. Julia also counsels clients in connection with governmental and regulatory investigation and enforcement actions.
Prior to joining the Firm, Julia served as an Assistant Crown Attorney in Toronto, where she prosecuted numerous trial matters and represented Ontario’s Attorney General in complex criminal appeals and applications before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Julia has also served as Legislative Counsel to a non-profit advocacy organization that addresses violence against women in the United States.
Julia is a graduate of York University in 2004 and the Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 2002, where she was named a Dean’s Fellow and served as an editor on the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. In 2008, Julia received a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, and is the recipient of numerous academic awards and scholarships.
