Jessica Bartlett is the Global Head of Financial Crime Legal at Barclays. Jessica advises senior management, compliance and legal teams, and the business lines on financial crime issues including economic sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, fraud, and anti-corruption.
Jessica spent seven years based in Hong Kong, first in private practice and then at Barclays. While in Hong Kong in 2021, Jessica was the Chair of the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Barclays, Jessica was an associate with Shearman & Sterling LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Jessica clerked for the Honorable Sidney H. Stein, District Judge for the Southern District of New York. Jessica holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois, Master of Arts in Philosophy from Brandeis University, and two Bachelors of Arts degrees in Art History and Political Science from Southern Methodist University.
