Hon. Sandra S. Ikuta

Biography

Sandra Segal Ikuta is a federal circuit judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  She served as the chair of the Advisory Committee on Bankruptcy Rules from October 2014 to October 2018, and a member of that committee from 2010 to 2014.  Before her appointment to the Ninth Circuit, she was the deputy secretary and general counsel of the California Resources Agency (2004-2006) and a partner of O'Melveny & Myers LLP (1997-2004).  She was a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, 1989-90, and Judge Alex Kozinski of the Ninth Circuit, 1988-89.
