Eliot Williams is a Partner with Baker Botts, primarily working out of the Firm’s Palo Alto office. He has over fifteen years of experience as a creative advocate and practical advisor to his clients. Mr. Williams has extensive experience with disputed Intellectual Property matters, in federal courts throughout the country and in the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent Office.
Mr. Williams has testified on patent law before the Judiciary Committee of the United States House of Representatives and has taught patent litigation as an adjunct assistant professor of law.
He also frequently advises clients seeking to protect their R&D investments, seeking to engage in merger or acquisition activity involving Intellectual Property assets, and on open source software issues.
Mr. Williams obtained a B.S. degree in electrical engineering magna cum laude with university honors from Texas A&M University and his J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law.
