Suzanne Wood is the National Director, Legal Project Management (LPM) for Norton Rose Fulbright Canada. She leads a team of legal project managers who regularly participate in client-facing engagements to provide a consistent and value-driven LPM approach across all disciplines and offices.
Suzanne is a certified Project Management Professional who, prior to entering into this role, practiced commercial litigation at Norton Rose Fulbright for many years focusing on complex class action and international disputes. She now focuses exclusively on the application of formal project management techniques to promote efficiency and
predictability in legal services.
Suzanne leads the firm's LPM initiative, including:
- Training lawyers on LPM tools, tactics and approaches on matters;
- Working with clients to identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes internally and externally;
- Monitoring client portfolios and matters to ensure the delivery of consistent and predictable legal services; and
- Assisting lawyers and clients in implementing new and innovative ways of working.
Suzanne is a member of the American Bar Association’s Legal Project Management Interest Group, Practical Law Canada’s Commercial Litigation Advisory Board and True Value Partnering Institute Council of Advisors. Suzanne is a frequent speaker on LPM topics and is a member of the LawVision Legal Project Management Roundtable and the International Legal Technology Association.
