Shawn Lampron focuses her practice on executive compensation and employee benefits for emerging growth businesses, public companies, and venture and institutional investors.
Shawn advises clients on a wide range of benefit and compensation programs, as well as the tax, securities, and corporate law issues related to these programs for start-up and emerging growth companies, manufacturing and service businesses. She works with clients to structure compensation and benefit programs covering the full spectrum of equity and cash compensation arrangements, including all types of employee stock options, restricted stock, employee stock plans, employment agreements, deferred compensation, and other fringe benefit arrangements. She also works closely with clients on the equity compensation, benefit and ERISA issues that arise in merger and acquisition transactions and securities offerings. Representative clients include Airbnb, Auction.com, Bonobos, Callidus, Castlilght, Corium, GoPro, MyFitnessPal, Nimble Storage, Omada Health, Quixey, Shutterfly, Sonos, Square, Uber, WhatsApp, and Yume.
Before joining Fenwick & West, Shawn was a partner at Gunderson Dettmer. Prior to that, she was with the law firm of Brobeck Phleger & Harrison. Shawn is a co-author of Executive Compensation for Emerging Companies. She is a frequent speaker at compensation, governance, and securities law programs and was recently recognized by The Legal 500’s as top lawyer for Technology Transactions.
Shawn received her J.D. and LL.M. degrees from New York University School of Law, and her B.A. in government from Harvard University.
Shawn is a member of the state bars of California and Massachusetts.
