Nicole G. Iannarone, is an associate clinical professor at Georgia State University College of Law. She focuses her scholarship on the regulation and duties of fiduciary-level service professionals including lawyers and advisers in the financial services sector. Iannarone is also the director of the Investor Advocacy Clinic where she teaches and supervises students who represent small investors with claims against their brokers in FINRA arbitration proceedings. In addition to her teaching in the Investor Advocacy Clinic, Iannarone teaches Civil Procedure, Complex Litigation, Business Arbitration Practicum, and Professional Responsibility. A graduate of Yale Law School, Iannarone was a partner and deputy general counsel at Bondurant Mixson & Elmore LLP in Atlanta, GA, where she practiced for nearly a decade representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation. Iannarone is active in the bar and the community. She is president of the Atlanta Bar Association, chair of the State Bar of Georgia’s Professionalism Committee, a member of the FINRA National Arbitration and Mediation Committee (NAMC), and a member of the State Bar of Georgia Formal Advisory Opinion Board. Iannarone has been named a “Local Litigation Star” by Benchmark Plaintiff, was named a Rising Star attorney by Super Lawyers, received the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers Kerry Harike Joedecke Atlanta Young Lawyer of the Year Award, and received the Brenau Women’s College Young Alumnae Award. In law school, Iannarone was an editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation, served as a dean’s advisor and was a student director of the Housing and Community Development Clinic. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Brenau Women’s College.
