Lisa Blackwood-Kapral is the Chief Accounting Officer for Shutterfly, Inc. in Redwood City, CA. With more than 25 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management at emerging growth companies and multi-billion-dollar public company organizations, Lisa has focused on the retail and technology industries. Her experience encompasses directing large finance teams including External Financial Reporting; Technical Accounting; Accounting Operations; Consolidations; Inventory and Cost Accounting; Payroll; Tax; Treasury; Internal Audit and SOX. Included in these areas is quarterly external filings and earnings process oversight; M&A and financial due diligence and reporting, including acquisition assessments of integration challenges and accounting policy considerations; SOX and Internal Audit; leading and managing Audit Committee meetings.
A graduate from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, Lisa earned her Accounting Bachelor’s degree with a minor in French. She is an active CPA in California. Most of her experience is at large public companies such as Shutterfly, Inc., Gymboree Corporation and Best Buy, Inc., but she has also dabbled in the private sector at Stella & Dot, Boudin Bakery and Northstar Matrixserv.
In addition to her busy work life, Lisa is a devoted mother of three teenagers, coaching her children’s sports teams and leading her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. She loves all types of physical fitness including, Orangetheory Fitness, boxing, running and competing in races, and yoga. Lisa and her family reside in Redwood City, California.
