Yong Ho Kim is partner in Kim & Chang’s Structured Finance Practice Group.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience in a wide range of cross-border and domestic financial transactions, with an emphasis on asset securitization, ABCP conduit programs, credit derivatives and real estate project financing, as well as development of new financial products. He also has extensive experience advising clients on insolvency and restructuring matters.

Mr. Kim has been very closely involved in the development in Korea of laws and regulations on asset securitization and related matters. Mr. Kim served as the primary drafter of the Asset-Backed Securitisation Act enacted in 1998, and also participated in the subsequent drafting of the related laws called the Housing Mortgage-Backed Securitisation Company Act, enacted in 1999, and the Korea Housing Finance Corporation Act, enacted in 2003. He is also coauthor of the leading book on asset-backed securitization in Korea, Financial Innovation—ABS, published by The Korea Economic Daily (1999).
