Bill Meyers concentrates his practice on intellectual property law, including patent preparation and prosecution; patent post-grant administrative proceedings, including patent re-examination; patent portfolio management; and risk evaluation related to third party patent. Bill has experience in the mechanical, electrical, optical and software related arts.


Before entering the patent profession, Bill gained engineering experience with a mechanical engineering design firm which he co-founded and co-owned for almost five years. During his undergraduate and graduate years at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Bill was part of a NASA Lewis Research Center team that helped design and develop the optical system for an experimental package that flew aboard space shuttle Columbia as part of a United States Microgravity Laboratory mission. He also conducted research in the field of medical imaging as a graduate student in the Medical Biophysics program at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.
