Wayne C. Matus

Mr. Matus is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience handling complex commercial and IP litigation. He is the national leader of our Information Law and Electronic Discovery practice. Mr. Matus's practice focuses on commercial litigation, information law, electronic discovery, records management, and privacy and data security. He is ranked in Chambers Global as a leading lawyer, and is one of only two lawyers listed in the top tier of Chambers USA, in the E-Discovery category. Mr. Matus is also a recipient of the 2009 Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing. He has been ranked as a leading lawyer in the 2010 Legal 500 USA in the category of Technology: Data Protection & Privacy.

Mr. Matus has significant first chair experience in jury and non-jury trials involving bankruptcy, intellectual property, contract and product liability on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. His extensive experience includes litigating trademark, copyright, and patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, domain name, and breach of contract.
