Vaishali Javeri is a Director and Senior Counsel at Credit Suisse.  In this role, Ms. Javeri provides legal and regulatory coverage to the broker-dealer’s cash equities businesses.  She advises on issues related to electronic and algorithmic trading, alternative trading systems, portfolio trading, soft dollars/unbundling and market structure.  Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2005, she held legal counsel positions at Morgan Stanley and Island ECN, an alternative trading system which is now part of NASDAQ.  Ms. Javeri began her career at the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations where she was involved in the oversight of self-regulatory organizations, securities exchanges, and broker-dealers.  She has been named by International Financial Law Review as one of the "21 Most Influential Bankers' Counsel".  Ms. Javeri received her J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa, and her B.A. from Northwestern University.
