Tom G. Elder

Partner & National Director of SEC and PCAOB Matters

Tom has more than 24 years of public accounting experience (nine years with “Big 4”) serving public and private companies, plus four years corporate experience (internal audit & financial reporting) with Westlake Chemical, a Houston-based Fortune 1000 chemical company.

Tom currently serves as the firm’s National Director of SEC & PCAOB Matters, overseeing the quality of SEC audits, monitoring SEC and PCAOB developments, and developing/updating UHY LLP’s SEC policies and procedures.  He also is the Chair of the AICPA Center for Audit Quality’s Smaller Firm Task Force.

Additionally, Tom serves as a member of the AICPA Center for Audit Quality’s SEC Regulations Committee, a 17 member group that meets periodically with SEC staff to discuss emerging technical accounting and reporting issues relating to SEC rules and regulations.

    - Due diligence with respect to mergers and acquisitions
    - Litigation support
