Todd Hinnen is the co-chair of Perkins Coie’s Privacy and Security Group and a Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School.  Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Todd served as head of the National Security Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, Chief Counsel to then-Senator Joseph R. Biden, and Director for Combatting Terrorism at the National Security Council.  Todd began his career as a computer crime prosecutor with the Department of Justice, during which time he served as the Rapporteur for the G8 Subgroup on High-Tech Crime and the Head of the U.S. Delegation to the Organization of American States Cybercrime Experts Group.  He clerked for the Honorable Richard Tallman for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Amherst College.
