Tim Fernholz

Tim Fernholz is an economics correspondent at the National Journal. Previously, he was a staff writer at the American Prospect magazine and a research fellow with the New America Foundation's Asset Building Program. While at New America, Mr. Fernholz focused on the policy response to the financial crisis and changing landscape for the delivery of financial services, especially in the arena of consumer finance.

Mr. Fernholz has been published by The New Republic, Newsweek, The Nation, The Guardian, The Daily Beast, Washington City Paper and the American Lawyer. He is a regular commenter on MSNBC and C-SPAN, and has been awarded a Knight Journalism Center Fellowship.
