Thomas W. Yang is Managing Director and Associate General Counsel in the Legal Department of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and is co-head of the global team of attorneys that covers the Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets groups in Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) in Global Banking & Markets (GBAM).  Tom focuses on both debt capital markets and equity capital markets transactions, as well as U.S. and international regulatory and policy matters affecting the securities industry.

Tom joined Banc of America Securities in 2005 from his prior job at Credit Suisse First Boston.  He has occupied his current role since 2009, after the merger between Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.

Tom received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1994.  He received his B.A. from Columbia College in 1989.

Tom currently resides in Tenafly, New Jersey, just a short distance from Manhattan.  In addition to his responsibilities at the bank, Tom is the chairperson of the Capital Markets Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and is a member of the Corporate Financing Committee of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
